About Paloma
Paloma Dulinen (She/Her)| BA. In Psych., A.D. In Child and Youth Care (Hons.)
Social Media Coordinator
Hi there, my name is Paloma Dulinen. I appreciate you taking a moment to learn more about me!
I earned my Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology at Ryerson (now, known as Toronto Metropolitan University). A couple of years after graduating, I completed an Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Care at George Brown College. I am currently an Educational Assistant within the York Catholic District School Board, supporting students with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or students that need behavioral support in the classroom. Every day is different!
I have grown passionate in working with youth and those with special needs, and psychology has always played an integral part of how I work with clients, students, or people in my own life. As a child and youth practitioner, it is through empathy, compassion, and in-the-moment interventions that aid in allowing me to build rapport and trust, and to provide students with strategies for coping and building resilience!
Beyond the above mentioned, it has been important for me to find ways to be creative. The presence of social media is an ever-growing means of networking and building. Combining and using media to share One Peace Therapy’s values and holistic practices is what we hope to convey!
