Rachael obtained her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She holds a BSc (Hons) from the University of Toronto Mississauga in Psychology, Professional Writing, and Biology.
Rachael’s professional experience includes crisis care support, public service, and social advocacy through writing and community-based projects. Rachael gained experience supporting individuals in distress with various concerns and demographics.
Her person-specific approach integrates Narrative therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and parts or Internal family system considerations. Rachael also provides individualized support by pulling from anti-oppressive, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, psychodynamic, creative and existential lenses.
Primarily, Rachael aims to provide a safe, productive, and thoughtful environment by working with clients to foster and reignite self-compassion, self-defined narratives, insight, and healing.
Rachael believes mental health encompasses attuning and balancing internally and externally in spiritual, physical, cognitive, and emotional elements. Rachael’s experience provides tools for deepening self-awareness, increasing coping skills, fostering self-empathy, and cultivating resiliency.
