Remi Ziskind (They/Them)| MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist
Remi is accepting new clients!
Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I know that choosing the right therapist for you and your needs can be a daunting task.
I aim to provide a compassionate and supportive space where people feel they can be themselves. I strive to work from a place that is gentle, curious, and when appropriate sprinkled with some humour. My approach is person centred, with an emphasis on being trauma informed and anti-oppressive.
My experiences mainly lie in supporting individuals in working through struggles related to gender and sexual identity, mood disorders including anxiety, trauma, eating disorders and disordered eating, and navigating the realities of being neurodivergent in a neurotypical centred world. I have a passion for working with youth and young adults in particular, and am a strong proponent of EFT, somatic and psychodynamic-based therapies, and mindfulness self-compassion.
I am a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and in the process of applying to the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Carleton University and have a Bachelor of Arts Honours (BAH) in Sociology and History from Queen’s University. I am currently pursuing further education through York University in the hopes of becoming a Clinical Psychologist.
